We offer several important services for the home or business owner.
Service 1: Diagnoses and repair $150 per hour
Straightforward service. If your AC or heat is broken and you want someone to fix it, this is the service you need. If we diagnose an issue, replace parts or perform work to fix it, and it doesn’t work right or return the system to a functional state, you will not be charged a dime for anything. Too many times have we seen a company come out, “repair” the system, and charge you a hefty sum, only for the AC or heat to fail again the next day. You pay for our expertise for a definite fix to your system, not a probable one.
Service 2: hVAC inspections $200 Flat fee
Buying a home is always a stressful ordeal. You're being dragged around by a real estate agent to house after house, sometimes for months. You finally found a suitable house that you want to be your home. The inspector comes in and gives you his overall report of the house, which does usually include the condition of the HVAC systems. However, some of their reports will be very vague and sparse about equipment that can leave a sizeable hole in your wallet if it needs to be replaced. We give the HVAC equipment in your soon-to-be home an extra special look. We'll provide you with a detailed report about the condition of the equipment, what needs to or should be done to it, and what the likely longevity of it is, as well as what the costs of replacement would look like. We'll even provide you with notes on what to give an HVAC contractor so that they can come in and fix a particular issue, without trying to up-sell you on anything. People throw around large amounts of money when they're buying a house, so, like weddings, some people can look to take advantage of the situation. We will perform the inspection, provide a report, and be there to help with any other questions you might have. For that, we charge the one fee, nothing more.
Service 3: second opinions $250 flat fee
Your air conditioning just stopped working during a heat wave. Your normal HVAC contractor or someone you found on Google comes out and tells you that the "flux capacitor on the inline for the rotary girder is timing on a bypass." What? The repair is going to be $2000 but they also suggest, or strongly recommend, you just replace the whole system to the tune of $10,000. It's hot, and you have no idea what they're talking about. Are they being straight with you? Do you really need that work done? I mean, the unit doesn't look that old. Did you get an incompetent technician, or worse, a dishonest one? There are great, truthful technicians who have bad days, and sweet talking con men who are there to sell you something you don't need for a commission.
We come out for a flat fee and either confirm or deny the diagnoses of the other company. If they diagnosed it incorrectly, we will tell you what the problem actually is, what can or should be done to fix it, and will even write an email to another company, or the same one if you want to continue using them, on your behalf, so that they'll know exactly what they have to fix without trying to do unnecessary or costly work. You can even send us the quote for repairs or replacement from the next company, which we will inspect to make sure the price is reasonable and the scope of work is accurate. If they diagnosed it correctly, we will look over any quotes they've given you for repairs and replacements to make sure that they'll be fixing the problem properly, and for the right cost. If you want us to fix it, that is completely up to you, we will never pressure you to use our company if you don’t want to.
Our promise: If we cannot determine the cause of the issue, then you do not pay. If we're wrong about what the problem was, then you'll be refunded our fee.
service 4: system walkthrough $250 Flat fee
HVAC systems are an incredibly important part of any home. They account for around half of all the energy used in a house, sometimes even more. However, the equipment that cools and heats your home is usually out of sight, leaving you very little chance of interacting with it. You usually see and adjust the thermostat, and, somehow, pipes, wires, and fans do their magic and change the temperature of your home. Most people can't even tell you the names of the parts of the system, let alone work on them. We get it, you're busy. You have your own career, your own family, and more important things to take care of.
We will come to your house during the afternoon, night, or weekend and walk you through your entire system. We'll go over all the different parts and systems, to give you a basic understanding of how it works, and more importantly, how to care for it yourself. You'll learn how to perform a basic maintenance of the system, including what to check for when something seems to go wrong. We can get as deep into it as you’d like. Want just the basic overview of what the parts are and how to care for them? No problem. Want to know how each and every tiny part works and how to do basic troubleshooting? We got you.
Most people aren't going to replace the engine on their own car, but are able to change basic parts. Imagine bringing your car into a mechanic so he can change your wiper blades and check your oil level? Expensive way of going about it... A large amount of service calls that you pay top dollar for are often a very simple fix. Maintenance contracts with HVAC companies can get expensive, and are normally easy enough for a homeowner to perform themselves.
You'll be provided with a report on your system that you'll be able to reference at any future date. We can go over different types of systems that are on the market, that you may be considering adding to your home as well. We will also make recommendations on what could or should be done to your system in order to make it safer, or more efficient, and we'll go over those with you. We want you to be empowered with the knowledge of your system.
